My Cat and Homework!! by Abigail

Dear Teacher:
I really did try to do my homework. Honest I did. But while I was studying, my cat kept bothering me. I tried to make him stop, but he is very fat, and he laid down on my papers and wouldn't move.

Then I tried to push him out of the way,
but then he banged his head against mine and it hurt!!

Then he stole my pencil. Honest!!

and he looked very mean, so I let him keep it, and my pen too!!
I'll finish it tomorrow, honest I promise.......

He says he's sorry.....

I did it!!! I figured it out, only took me 2 days!!!! grrrrrr
I put this video clip up because it was the only one already cut,
and shortest one I had to try to figure this you tube program out.

My fathter in law took this video, just after we "confirmed" it was Lily. Thanks to Carrie and process of elimination!! :)

New Hair Cuts

Today all 3 girls got haircuts!! FINALLY!!
I was a bit worried about Isabelle and Lily. Isabelle couldn't decide if she wanted to go short or stay long, and well...Lily....I just figured she would not sit still.

Well surprise surprise....Isabelle went short AND Lily sat still. whew

Here are some pics.

Chinese New Year

We celebrated Chinese New Year with friends at the Jubliee Resturant on Sunday. The girls and I had JUST come back from a gymnastics competition in the Miramichi at 5:25pm and we were changed into our dresses, van unloaded and returned to the rental company, and we were at the resturant at 6:20! Not bad!!

On Tuesday, Lily and I went to the YMCA to visit Louise's class for Chinese New Year.

this is the preschool where Lily will be attending in September. Louise and Lily have a special relationship and I'm sure Louise will have her hands full.
She was a little shy at first, but that quickly went away and she was running all around the kids.
(Notice Gluck and Panda on the chair beside her. We never leave home without them.)

I won the War of Attrition....

Attrition ..... wearing down by friction or grinding...

Lily was in no mood today to eat supper! She was in the mood for dessert!! Ice Cream to be exact.
Well, she took to screaming when I presented her supper, mashed potatoes, roast beef, corn! She wanted ICE SCREAMMMMMM, and nothing else.
This is new, this has never happened before, and if I get my way, will never happen again.
I took her out of her chair, and told her that if she wanted ice cream, she had to have supper first.
NO WAY....so off she went into her bed for a time out. I ate MY supper in peace, while she screamed bloody murder upstairs. I brought her back downstairs (after I was done of course and her screaming had subsided) and offered her super again. This time she polietly said
"no Chank-chew" (aka no thank you) asked for ice cream, I said NO, and then she went off to play. Abigail came home from gymnastics about 2 hours later and Lily told me she was hungry for num-nums. I re-offered supper (same supper, same bowl) and this time she devoured it and asked for seconds. THEN she had ice cream.
I WON!!!!!!! I WON!!!!!!!!!!
ahhhhhh It feels good.

sleep........finally sleep

Sleep, you need it to survive, just like air!
Why is it that some people can survive on 4 hours of sleep a night....I have a friend who starts her day at 4am, everyday!! She is my hero, I look at her in total amazement and awe....How do you function? How do you do it? (and why won't you share whatever it is your taking?)
She is why I haven't lost my mind....
(maybe I have and no one has told me yet...)
I'm sorry, but I have had only 4 to 5 hours of sleep a night for over 2 weeks now.....and I know my mind is playing games with me.....
I sent Abigail to school, with her lunch, which apparently consisted of 3 juice boxes!!
Nothing else! I can honestly say that I don't even remember packing her lunch.

Thank god for the school cafeteria and thank god my kids know that I'm "cubed"!!
